James’ view on ACCESS

Ssewanyana James is a hard man to track down. If you call on him at ACCESS, you might find him in the clinic with a patient, on the phone securing medical supplies for LifeCare Clinic or school materials for the Health Training Institute. More likely you will hear that he is in the community calling on patients at home, working with our volunteer health workers or meeting with community leaders to support ACCESS programs.

In the community, James is known as “Musawo” or doctor. It would be hard to find someone in Nakaseke who does not know his name. Musawo James represents the impact that ACCESS has in the community. He is constantly on the move, connecting people, procuring materials and delivering services in order to fulfill ACCESS mission to serve Nakaseke with better healthcare and a brighter future for its children.
