JOB ADVERT FOR TUTORS AND DEPUTY PRINCIPAL TUTOR

Background:

ACCESS – African Community Center for Social Sustainability is a community-based organization which was established in 2003 in the Nakaseke district- greater Luwero triangle. ACCESS provides a comprehensive model of health care services, education and economic empowerment programs. Among the various programs operational at ACCESS, there is a focus on providing education & training in health and other related fields for the community of the Luwero sub-region, Uganda, East Africa & Africa as a whole. It’s upon this background that ACCESS School of Nursing & Midwifery was established.

Management of ACCESS School of Nursing & Midwifery, therefore, invites applications from suitably qualified tutors for the above-mentioned positions.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR DEPUTY PRINCIPAL TUTOR

  1. Bachelor’s degree in medical education from a recognized university or institution. Or,
  2. Bachelor of Science in nursing or midwifery with a postgraduate diploma in medical education from a recognized university or institution. Or,
  3. Higher Diploma in health tutorship from a recognized university/ institution.
  4. A diploma in health leadership and management will be an added advantage.
  5. At least 2 and above years of experience in a senior teaching position

JOB SPECIFICATIONS FOR TUTORS

  1. Bachelor’s degree in medical education from a recognized university or institution. Or,
  2. Bachelor of Science in nursing or midwifery with a postgraduate diploma in medical education from a recognized university or institution. Or,
  3. Higher Diploma in health tutorship from a recognized university/ institution.
  4. A minimum of two years of tutoring from a reputable institution
  5. With at least one year in classroom teaching from a recognized nursing and midwifery training school, fresh graduates both tutors and clinical instructors can apply.
  6. Current practising license from Uganda Nurses and Midwives council
  7. Should be available to work on a full-time basis, though part-timers can also apply.
  8. Should possess a national identity card
